2018 Arctic Wolf Awning Mount Failed-Recall?

Recall too limited by date? I purchased a 2018 305ML6 in July of 2018. This morning my factory-installed CareFree brand awning inexplicably let go of the side of my camper, bending the arms beyond repair. Clean holes where the screws were.. it appeared it just wasnt mounted well. The Forest River recall describes exactly what happened, but the recall only identifies 2019 arctic wolfs. My camper is not even 1 yr old. Anyone else have this experience?

I have a 2019 AW DBH-L that I ordered in march 2018 and was built in April 2018. I did not have any issues with the awning, but did receive the recall notice and had the long bolts installed. I believe that I got lucky with my manufacture date, as I have reaped the benefits of the 2019 improvements without falling victim to some of the apparent degraded quality that may have happened in later 2019 models.
But definately get the dealer to replace broken parts and install proper mounting hardware.

I have a 2018 and I had the same problem. That happened in March and I had to do a lot of complaining and a very determined young man at my local dealer to get it fixed the end of August. But I had just the damage parts replaced

I own a 2018 305ML6. I have not had an issue as of yet but did receive a recall for the awning fasteners last November. I plan on having it taken care of soon. Dealers supposedly have a fix for it.

Call your division of Forest River and let them know what happened, they'll get it taken care of. It's a common problem.

Have 2017 285dlr no problems dealer did recall fix last week.

We have a 2018 Artic Wolf and we received a recall notice on the awning arm several months ago. We just had it repaired in July. I would call the dealer and have them run a recall check.
