2018 Grey Wolf 23MK "Mystery Switch"

Picked up our new Grey Wolf 23MK yesterday and "moved in" today.

While putting stuff away, found a switch located under the fireplace in the cabinets. Turned the switch "On" and the Microwave turned on and the electric fireplace turned off. Switched it "Off" and the fireplace came on and the Microwave has no power.

Can some one explain?

I assume you have 30 amp power. You can’t run the fireplace heater and the microwave at the same time. The switch selects between them to prevent overloading the main breaker.

Yep, yea that’s exactly what I was thinking.

We had a similar switch when we had two microwaves in our Sabre fifth wheel, 30amp.
One or the other not both.

Yes, the switch is to turn on either the fireplace or the microwave. I have a 23MK and it took a couple days for me to figure out why my fireplace wouldn't work, or the microwave wouldn't work.

You'd think they'd wire it to the AC circuit or something else. Every camper i've ever owned or known was able to run AC and Microwave at same time. I don't expect normal people to run AC and Fireplace at same time!

Many fireplaces have a light only setting with no heat for "ambiance" nothing makes the lady happier then a movie and cuddles at quiet time when not by the bon fire

Congrats on the new TT. The switch was explained so I thought I would mention something that I spent 30 mins looking for (in case you haven't needed them yet). Low point drains and freshwater drain. Both accessed from slide side. Fresh water drain is between the tires inside frame rail. Low point drains were up about 2/3 of way to nose (I even have a sticker on the trailer and still had a hard time finding it). Mine were sticking through hole in undercarriage inside frame rails and covered in foam. I had to break some foam off to get caps unscrewed. Enjoy the camping, we really like ours.
