2nd AC

I have ordered a grey wolf 25rrtbl. It was my understanding that the second AC would be in the bedroom. It has arrived and the unit it mounted in the rear of the camper over the dinette. That puts two units in the same room with two separate thermostats in the same ducts. This doesn’t sound right to me and I believe it’s an error. Does anyone on the forum know the answer?

It really depends on where the existing A/C power was ran to vents and where the thermostat wires were ran from them.

Who did the install? The factory or the dealer?

The factory. I asked that the extra ac unit be put in the bedroom but they put it in the rear of the camper. Now the dealer is trying to tell me that’s the only way they do it. I think they messed up and don’t want to admit it. I have called other dealers and I think they have universally verified that the ac prep can be done in the bedroom.

If it’s the factory, it’s likely where it was designed to be. Why not contact the manufacturer directly? There’s contact info on the Forest River website.

I’d also pull the bedroom vent and see if there’s electric and a thermostat wire up there.

I'd check the bedroom vent to see if there's any A/C prep wiring there.
There's usually an electrical box near the vent with a blank cover over it for the A/C 120 volt power.
