30 amp ext cord

Hi. just wanted to ask you guys. can i connect two ext cords to my reg 30amp cord on the trailer? I have one that comes with the trailer (which is 25 feet) plus a 25-ft ext cord i bought separately. now i ran into a huge problem being short on the cords, and would like to buy another 25 feet instead of a 50-ft ext cord, which is way more pricey.

Yep, i keep an extra one in the camper all the time, its just a matter of time before you end up someplace that you'll need the extension. Might wanna have an extra water hose also...

Should be fine. I've done as many as three 25' extensions plus the shore cord.

Just keep an eye on the connections for heat. (loose, poorly plugged connections make heat) and if weather is a concern, be sure to keep the connections dry.

We use a 25' + a 50' (both 30 amp) + the 25' (50 amp) shore cord when we are home to power the camper. The 30 amp receptacle I installed at the garage has about 40' of 8 gage romex to the breaker. We do get some voltage drop, especially when it's hot and sunny, but for the most part no problems. I can easily run one of the ACs.

Yep your fine. One thing though. I occasionally take a pierce of scotch brite and clean the male terminals. Then apply a little dielectric grease to them all. I’ll then wipe it off lightly. This just ensures a good connection and keeps everything in good shape. Anytime you add connections it’s important to keep them good.

Lightly & little are the words.

"Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection.:

Hmmm that’s news to me. I work on snow equipment for my
States transportation Dept and use the stuff in all electrical connections. No issues whatsoever.
