Anyone tried 12v electric/hydraulic jacks?

The truth being said on that other than tires they learned the first time and it has never happened again me included. Guys that carry wheel bearings it has probably never happened again to them. Those hard experiences are never forgotten and these guys aren't stupid so I doubt they get bit twice. My big deal is tire changing equipment. Cordless impacts, fast, safe working jacks that have been tested in the driveway. Changing a tire on the side of the road is probably the most dangerous thing you will ever do in your life. I have another long post on detailed quick tire changing. Look over these guys suggestions and write them down. If you have 2-3 folks say you need so and so then you probably need it. Do your maintained and for everything else there is AAA and AE.
Now for the carry on toys. Rent a U-Haul and have your wife follow you in that.

Hands down, this is our favorite accessory, a BugZooka!
https://www.amazon.com/BugZooka-WB10.../dp/B004OHAK5K
It makes catching flies, stink bugs, and everything else flying around inside easy to do and actually fun. We liked it so much we bought one for home and one for friends with a motorhome. It has an extendable end so it can grab the pesky critters out of corners normally too high to reach. It also does not kill the critters so you can release them near the noisy neighbors.
Unfortunately it seems to have gone up over $10 since we bought ours last year, probably due to tariffs.

Could also go lithium. Save weight, have more amp hours, and much longer life.
May cost 2-4 times as much, but depending on your age, you may never buy another battery.

The Hughes Watchdog Surge Protector and a plastic box with bungee type cord to hold it on to protect the Surge Protector and extension cord connections from rain.

We added a mattress topper. So much more comfortable. Just make sure your wife is aware of the loss of space between the bed and overhead storage. It can be a headache. Literally! ; )

Of the many items we bought in advance
We didn't have a simple extension cord and had to go to Walmart.

Finally, when I visit the dump site, I stack them all up under the curb-side wheel to facilitate the flow out of the grey tank.

Interesting. How thick are they?

Would this work, or do you have to secure it at the base?

None of mine have that warning on the side.
I was an original contributor to the INDIEGOGO campaign for the BugASalt designed by Lorenzo Maggiore — an artist in California. I believe it was in 2012. It took about a year for him to get enough money together for R&D and to find a company in China that would manufacture it.
By the time he began shipping them, I had contributed enough to the campaign due to various incentives he kept adding to the campaign to raise more money that I ended up receiving six cases of 12 of them, along with special edition versions and guns signed by him.
Everybody was getting these things as Christmas gifts from me, but I kept all of the special edition and signed ones for me and my kids.
Lorenzo had a really hard time shipping these things to people who had contributed to the campaign from countries in Europe due to legal issues — it’s a gun! Oh no! Countries in Europe weren’t having that, so he refunded all of those contributors. I don’t know if he ever overcame that hurdle and began shipping them to Europe.
It didn’t take long before they were showing up in Cabella’s and other stores like that. It’s a true American success story of a guy who started out with nothing other than a good idea and the fortitude to follow through with it.

I guess with genetics these days, some people just absolutely don't know until they try it. The world has become too safe.

It was a great idea! These things are awesome... not only a fun "toy", but also a useful tool that makes life easier. I have 2 myself, and have probably given out 10 more as gifts.

So here are my must have's and some added convenience items.
Note: we mostly dry camp
Brake controller - if your pup is almost to your towing capacity.
Two 12v marine batteries with 100w solar panel - my favorite so far is this DOKIO we purchased on Amazon We bought one two years ago and loved so much that we purchased a second of the same model this year.
Lynx Levelor blocks - we've been getting away with one set with our smaller Pup, but we need a second set with this larger higher model
Set of 4 wheel chocks
pack of reflective blankets [about $8] we use these for so many things, covering the bear box to keep cooler from burning through too much ice, bunk covers if it's really hot out, shade spot for the dog, etc.
Two solar LED lights. These are our favorites, we've had them for several years and they're still going strong.
Small stack of wood blocks - about 12" long, scraps of 2x4 to set the tongue jack on so the end doesn't get damaged. We also have a wheel, but I feel like the camper is more stable on a wood block.
This is a starter list - you'll find plenty of things you want to add depending on your camping style.

Brake controller should ALWAYS be included. Not just if you are close to towing capacity. It should be adjusted correctly to help stop.

Not to mention saving the breaks on the vehicle you're towing with.
