Looking for a 285DRL4. Why do I not find hardly any used of these?

When you do your searches, do you spell Arctic correctly? It has a C after the Ar.

I've been looking at those as well. Our local dealer has 3 new ones on the lot according to their website. I did a quick search for 2018's and found 3 at one of the larger dealers. They're around, good luck.

I guess it’s just my area in the south. I’ve found 2 new ones and 1 used one within 250 miles. Going to look at the closest one - new 2020.
Anyone know about their quality?

I’ve seen the used one but it sold. I love the floor plan

We have a 285drl4 and love the layout but quality is not very good. I think this model only ran for 4 years 2017-20. Living rm, kitchen layout is great with a lot of glass in the living room. Bathroom is ok. Closet space is good. Bedroom is tight. You should be able to buy new for under $35,000 with all options.

Thanks artspe. We drove to look at one. The unit had outlet and tv outlets removed. Facing strips missing. Glass broken from cabinet. Many things wrong. They were a camping world dealer said they bought this from one of the CWs that closed and the service people took things. The glass door they broke and had ordered a new glass. So with writing down all to be fixed, we made them a reasonable offer. The salesman was great. The manager was a jerk. We walked.

Found another one different dealership that is not camping world. not local but we hope to go see it before it’s gone they just reduced the price.
Seems as you haven’t had any problems with yours.

We have had problems with ours, but I am fairly handy. After reading up on the issues, I have been able to do my own repairs.

We recently bought a 2019. It was barely used. Got a great price. It was a consignment at PPL in Texas. I’m very pleased with it. We love the size and layout. It is nice and light for the size. I have done many modifications to it so far. Added a battery, some solar, hard wired EMS, shelving, new mattress. I love it.

Thank you. It’s good to hear about it from owners.
It’s the one I would like to have. My hold back concern is the dealership is 159 miles away. I hear so many having to go back as things pop up to be repaired. I m concerned about having to drive it back several times right after using it

Mem,
If you just have small items that need repaired, just write them down and wait until camping season is over or nine months (whichever comes first) and then take it for repairs. No need to take it in for each individual item.

That's what we did, with both trailers we owned. Got free winter storage too.
