Battery disconnect Cherokee Grey Wolf
Wondering if anyone that has a 23DBH or similar model know if a battery disconnect is equipped on this line.

I have the 26DBH which are similar and they don’t have a disconnect switch but are easy to install.

Thanks. I couldn’t find one but thought I’d ask. However, where would you mount one if you had too?

Cherokee trailers are an entry-level trailers and they rarely come with a factory battery disconnect switch.

You’re an entry level trailer!
But really, $8 off Amazon and 2 min install for a disconnect.

Wasn't slamming Cherokees, just pointing out that few entry-level trailers come with a factory battery disconnect switch.
Heck, my 2007 Rockwood Roo didn't have one either but after 2010 they did.
I also added a $6 disconnect switch from Wal-Mart.

I’d like to know what makes a trailer an entry level trailer?
Is it brand or model? Like if you don’t drive a bmw or Cadillac but drive a Ford is the ford entry level?
Is it because a trailer is not $75,000 or more make it entry level?
Or if the trailer weighs less than 10,000 lbs does that make it entry level?
I would think an entry level would be a tent! Any thing more than that is an upgrade.
When someone says “entry level trailer” sound sort of snooty and condensending! Not everyone needs a Berkshire!
Just my opinion

My Coachmen trailer doesn't have a disconnect switch but the equivalent priced Rockwood does. Not a big deal..easy to add.
Spend the extra few dollars and skip the $8 disconnect switch from Walmart and install a BlueSea marine rated disconnect switch.

Thanks. Watched a quick you tube and looks easy. I am thinking of trying to install in the front storage to keep out of the elements.
Oh and I am going to class up my rig with the fanciest switch ever!

Our 274DBH which is nearly identical to the grey wolf 26dbh did not come with one but my husband was able to install one in matter of minutes. On ours there are a couple of pre-drilled holes on the tongue of the trailer that allowed us to do that. Not sure if yours has one as well?

Slightly off topic, but still good info:
If your battery is mounted on the tongue of the TT in a battery box, check to see if the box has drain holes drilled in it. The box will have vents in the top that will allow water to enter the box. The box does not come with drain holes and very few dealers add them.

You are misunderstanding my post.
Entry-level trailers have less features than higher-level trailers. Some things that are options, may be standard on a higher-level trailer.
A factory battery disconnect switch is an example.

Haha I get, I agree they’re entry level in a lot of ways. We just wanted good quality for under 20k and found the Cherokee to fit our needs. We’re definitely happy with it, but we’ve also added about 1500 worth of upgrades to it that the more expensive rigs may have come with.

My "entry level" Cherokee wolf pack toy hauler came with a battery shut off switch inside under the fridge.

Ok, I'm gonna ask the newbie question. My TT is in storage (not at house) and i pull the battery and keep it in my basement. Why would i need a battery disconnect switch? Or maybe i should ask, do i need a battery disconnect switch?
thanks,

For me I camp 6-10x per year. The rest of the summer it’s in the drive connected to the house. If I don’t plug it in then I’m about a week my CO2 director is beeping low battery. I don’t mind having shore power if DW hasn’t nearly cut the extension cord 2x.
This way I just click and disconnect.

You might have to zoom in to see all the pre-drilled holes that are in the frame but the arrow points to where the battery disconnect was inserted.

Thank you. I found that I have the same holes and will do the same. Thanks.
