Battery Recommendation

Purchased a new 274DBH and they wanted a few hundred bucks for filled tanks and a battery. I figured I could get the battery for under the $299 for their package.
Can anyone out there recommend a specific battery that I should purchase. I'll always be plugged in when seasonal campground opens but need something for May.
Thanks,
Tommy

Well, since will always be plugged into shore power, any cheap group 24 marine battery will be fine.

You'll need it for transporting the trailer, to power the breakaway switch.

Battery 274DBH

I'm surprised it didn't come with a battery, and filled propane tanks. when we bought ours they include an Interstate group 24 and they filled both tanks. I thought about adding a second battery, but we mostly stay in places with full hook ups. I talked with the people at Rick's RV about that, and they said I might as well wait for the original battery to go bad, then consider going with two six volt batteries. I'm sure there are many opinions out there. I suggest looking at what people have to say in this forum, and then figure out what best might serve your needs before making your decision. I hope you enjoy your new 274DBH as much as we have ours. We have had some issues, but nothing that has not been handled to our complete satisfaction. A few items took a little longer than I thought, but that appears to be norm in the RV business. That being said, I have no complaints at all. The after the sales service has been wonderful.

Thanks for the feedback. We are going from a 1997 Sunline to the 274DBH. Super excited. Our seasonal is in southern NH but bought from a dealer in VT because the sales team was way more helpful and friendly. I'm nervous about getting the trailer back to the dealer for service and hoping the Easy Care helps with the mobile repair. The owner of the dealership even said that if we can't get the trailer back to the dealer for a warranty repair, they'll come pick it up once for no charge. Going to get a decent group 24 Batt
