Bedroom TV in 26dbh.

Well I finally got the TV mounted in the bedroom. Used an impact mounts ceiling mount. Seems to be good and solid. I hope it stays put.

I was just playing with ya...

Try changing the phones auto rotate feature (might be in the camera settings), or just shoot all photos horizontally that you plan to post.

I always shoot photos horizontally anyway since that is the way most people see with their eyes (which is why TV's and computer monitors are wide screen).

I was a photojournalist for a large portion of my adult life so the final viewing angle is always on my mind when taking pictures.

Looks good! Did FR put a 'locator' decal there to indicate that area was reinforced for the TV install? Just curious.

Guessing 'not', b/c I don't see a nearby outlet adjacent to the mount.

Yes. That is where the TV mount decal is. I used an electronic stud finder to make sure it was really there.

The outlet is on the other side of the wall. FR put an access hole there so that the hook-ups in the living room can be used.

I was wondering if you could save me some time? How big is the mounting area, which I assume is just an extra piece of wood anchored to the structure? I'm looking to mount a fan to it rather than a TV.

I didn't measure it exactly but it's bigger than the base of my TV mount. So I would guess 8"×8" at least.

That's larger than I was guessing. The fan I mount will be lighter than a TV, but will have vibration and oscillation that I have to take into account. I can put A LOT of screws in an area that size!

Thanks for the info.

Just a heads up but not all are created equal. My 2018 decal is on the vertical wall between the doors. Just a heads up as that area might not have the backer in the same spot.

What kind of fan are you looking to put up? I wanted to mount a fan in that same spot but could not find a suitable fan.

Well, that's the rub...I'm looking. Something relatively small - 8"? I'm hoping to find one with a good base but I'll probably mount it to a wood base and then mount that to the ceiling. I don't want to buy and mount a "mistake". The clip-on fans we used last year worked, but were kind of a pain.

Heck, with the weather we've had and just being very busy, I haven't even pulled the camper with the new TV, yet. Finally hooked it up just this last weekend to see how things lined up. First trip in 3 weeks.

If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears!
