Best Shower Head

I just picked up a 19 Alpha Wolf and the shower head leaks pretty bad when you push the button. Not worth trying to take it back for a warranty deal, I will just buy a new one. What is the best one out there you guys like?

thanks
Chris

You'll get a LOT of responses for the Oxgenics brand shower head.

Neither the DW or I liked our Oxgenics so we gave it away and bought a cheap R/V head off Amazon that works well, doesn't have a stiff hose and doesn't flow as much water as the Oxgenics. Besides 'best' is subjective. Just because it's 'best' for you doesn't mean it's 'best' for everyone else.

BTW... dribbling from the shower head is a GOOD thing in an R/V... it will keep you from being scaled or frozen when turned back on full.

I’ve had an Oxygenics Body Spa and an Ocygenics Fury. The Spa “boosts” water more than the fury but the fury has multiple spray patterns. We’ve stuck with the Fury.

I also tried a couple of Eco Camel heads and hated them both.

We have had the best shower experience with the standard, one spray pattern, Oxygenics. If you have an on demand tankless water heater, Oxygenics is a must.

If you don't like the supply hose that comes with your shower head, replace it with whatever hose you like. Connections are all fairly standard.

While you are upgrading your shower experience look at the Shower Miser system. We have one and absolutely love it. Great for saving water and making sure your shower is always warm without wasting water. Also a secondary way to fill your fresh tank if at hookups.

I (and my wife too, of course) was a solid believer in the original Oxygenics shower head, we had ours for 5 years. Our RS came with a 'generic' shower head which is much better, especially on the spray setting in combination with a shower valve to turn the water flow down to a trickle if we want to without affecting the water temperature.

I am told it leaks to maintain temperature.

Correct. That's the idea, works well with standard WHs, but doesn't work for tankless. Another reason we installed the Shower Miser diverter valve.

So i got and oxgenics head. The main reason for a new head is the trickle. I don’t want it. This new one still trickles. Plan to send it back. Any way to stop this? Or other ideas?

That trickle is designed into those so it will keep the hot water flowing. Maybe think about putting an inline ball valve

If you really don't want the trickle when you turn the head off for a 'navy' shower, but still want the water to be the correct temp when you turn it back on, install a shower miser. They work perfectly and are now being installed at the factory in some models.

Install a shut-off that totally shuts off the water. I installed a Oxygenics shower head and this and it totally stopped the trickle.

FYI: I also installed a back-flow preventer on the hot water side along with the shut-off, so I no longer get that first blast of cold water every time I pause the water anymore.

We have the Oxygenics Body Spa shower head, and love it.

As others have said, the "shutoff valve" when fully closed still allows a trickle of flow on purpose. This is intentional, it is designed to do this and it is proper operation.

We like the trickle... wouldn't want to be without it. Can't speak for the DW, but for me, it tricks my brain into feeling like I'm still getting more of a continuous, more comfortable shower. The actual amount of water coming through at the trickle is minimal... I'm guessing maybe 8 oz per minute? It really is not very much... but it makes a comfortable difference for me.
