breaker question for those of you with a cherokee (around 2006 model)

i dont know how many cherokee models have the same converter in them, but i have an 06 wolfpack with a 50amp converter. it is a parallax power supply model 555. if you have this setup, what is the very top breaker for on your converter? i have a 20 amp breaker there that is not label and i cannot figure out what its for...

My best guess would be your Air Conditioner. Usually most other devices and branch circuits will be on a 15 amp breaker.

no, that breaker is labeled. i have the AC, microwave, water heater, general, main, GFI, and then this random breaker on top. i may just have to unplug the ac power and start pulling it apart. maybe nothing is even hooked up to it

My next guess from left field would be your electric lift. However that more than likely runs off DC power.

yeah i know the front jacks are DC. i do have a table that lifts up and down in the rear toy hauler garage area, but that works without being leashed up to AC, so it cant be that either. hmmmm

i have no idea. how could i tell? i guess it would make sense due to the 50 amp service and only 1 AC unit on board...

So how can I figure out if that's indeed what it's for? I was going to pull the front panel of the converter off and see if there were any wires going to it, but if it's prewired then I'd imagine everything is already hooked up and looks normal...

I believe that a pre-wired unit also has the roof penetration pre-cut.

Is there a vent or skylight in the bedroom?

More than one vent?

Remove the interior trim ring(s) and look for a wire bundle that is taped off.

I don't have a 2 AC unit so maybe someone who does can help you more.

if u have a blank electrical face plate in the ceiling next to the forward 14X14 crank up vent...skylight. u r prewired for a second air conditioner. if so, they installed the breaker in the box.
the blank plate in the ceiling on mine had a label on it (a much older trailer didn't).
makes life easy if u should ever decide to install a second air conditioner.

i do have a large skylight in the rear of the camper...in the garage area, but no other irregular looking ceiling panels. i did pull of the front "protective" cover around the breakers. there are no wires going into the breaker i was inquiring about. i guess i could have done that in the first place.....but i dont like taking things apart that arent broken
