Buying a wolf pup 16bhs

Hey all
About to buy a wolf pup this weekend. It seems to be the nicest out of all the smaller bunk houses I've seen. The dealer said I probably wouldn't need a weight distribution hitch but I figured I would double check with the people that pull them. I have a 2016 F150 class IV hitch with max tow package. The truck apparently has some sway control built into it but again figured I would ask. The trailer is pretty light but I hate having a light front end from a heavy tongue. Should I be able to pull this little trailer at interstate speed?

I have a 16bhs and pull it with a nissan frontier. I use a WDH and friction sway bar.

I'm pulling it with a Ford Ranger with WDH with sway bars also.

I pull the 18to with weight distribution hitch on 2012 pathfinder. Better safe than sorry. Highly recommend

As you can see so far it's a great idea. Most of us have midsize SUV / Trucks. Like nlparrott1212 says better be safe than sorry.

Any real difference pulling it with a full size truck vs SUV? It's a relatively cheap addion if it helps. Is the blue ox the preferred hitch and I noticed a bunch of different configs. What's normal?

I pull mine with a 2016 Canyon without a WDH but with a friction bar. It pulls great and I have not noticed the truck squatting a bit.

I believe that would exceed the speed rating of the stock china bomb tires which your trailer will come with. I'd hate to have a tire explode on a single axle trailer like the 16bhs. I can pull mine at 70-75 in my V6 canyon but my mileage is then 5-6 mpg. Mileage is more then double that at 60-65 and the drive is much less stressful. I've quit towing on our 80mph interstates and now stick to the state highways and just deal with a slower but more enjoyable trip.

Your f150 will probably be able to pull it at speed but again, beware the tires.

I stick to 55 to 65 with my truck. Less stress on my truck / trailer and me.

Yeah I've read about the crap tires. Are you all replacing them sooner than later or waiting till they wear down? I wonder is 15's will fit? I've already checked out a bunch of mods can't wait to get the fam out camping in southern Illinois.

I haven't done many mods yet I installed a propane cover and did the 🔋 disconnect switch mod.

Has anyone noticed any differences in the 2016,17 or 18 models other than some graphics?

Helps with the paracidic battery drain. Works like a champ. Total cost approximately $20.

I have towed our 16BHS with a 2013 Explorer and a 2003 F150. With the Explorer the WDH was definitely needed, but with the F150 I just hook it straight up and I do not even notice it back there. I think it is just a matter of preference.

Went to the dealer today to buy a new trailer ended up with a used '16. Saved $1400 over the new one and I can't really even tell it was used. Dealer is gunna run through the inspection and setup the swaybar. I will pick it up on Tuesday. Pretty excited to get camping.

We had been looking at 2017 bhs models. At some point they added three USB charging outlets located next to the beds, as well as blue lights on the two exterior speakers.
Dealer told us it was not uncommon for Forest River to make small changes within that model year.

Yea my 18To 2017 has those and they are very very handy
