I consider myself tech savvy, and the user's manual is absolutely no help on this...

Really don't understand this either. Mine has a yellow video out going to adapter that plugs into a coaxial cable. Figuring out the wall plate and DVD sound issue was easy but why this adapter and where does this coaxial cable go to?

Brought home my new 26dbh this past weekend. Found this same issue with no sound or picture coming to the tv, but it had sound in the overhead speakers. I took the dvd/radio assembly out and found the rca cables were hooked up in the wrong spot on back of the dvd player. Switched them to the right ports and all is working good now! Might be worth a look!

On the 3100 i have to have the red, white, yellow wires hooked to the tv. Do you have separate Jacks outside of the stereo? I recently had to replace my 3100 because it wouldn't load cd/dvd. In order to program my TV with channels,I have to switch the 3100 to auxiliary then all the channels load. These units are not fun to figure out

I have same 2016 16BHS
I emailed FR and they confirmed
That Furrion is not wired for dvd
Easy fix they say ??? ---plug RCA cables in back of radio ( after you buy the square bit to remove separator)and run cables across camper to TV !
Not to sure which brilliant person thought of this. Dvd is useless this way.

I just let this topic go last year because I was busy (and tired of trying to deal with it), but why install a system that plays DVDs in an RV that isn't wired for video? Makes no sense.

Does anybody know if the the coaxial system is in a 16 BHS is accessible and could a person "tap into it" in order to send the Furrion's video signal through the Coax?

I have a 2017 wolfpup 18TO. I also had problems getting sound just playing my TV to come out of my overhead speakers. Did not test the dvd. Any ideas on how to get the sound?

You need to check connections behind DVD. They had mine connected wrong.

I finally let my hubby bring the extra tv to the camper this weekend, and we too, can't get sound except for out of external speakers when playing DVDs. What good is this when it is pouring down rain and the kids are asleep in the back bunk room? Wish I had internet last weekend to read this. We will try these suggestions next weekend.

built in JVC dvd/cd radio

Since you sound like you know what you are talking about, I am going to jump in... My 2012 Salem Grand Villa has a JVC DVD/CD radio unit built in the wall. My TV hookups are across the room, but I am supposed to be able to run a DVD to my TV thru this. I have gotten sound, but no picture??

help please!

Mine was wrong as well. The rca on the wall is this.... yellow is video from dvd player to tv , and red/white is audio out (from tv) to dvd player so the tv could be played through the ceiling speakers as a "simulated" surround sound. Dvd automatically player the sound through the ceiling.

I can't believe that it's 2017 and these things are still being built using analog low definition cables instead of HDMI! Personally, I'm planning on ripping this unit out and attempting to pull new cables to feed my new 4k tv.

i just bought a 2017 grey wold 20rdse

trying to figure this tv thing out. going away in 4 days.

got a tv that has the old coax and rca and hdmi

theres a cable hookup outside by water fill. Assume that is for if your at campground that supplies cable?

Where does this cable goto? theres a cable jack inside by kitchen. on the back of the DV3100 theres a tv cable pluged in to it. is that for input or output??

the entrance side - 2 speakers outside with TV mount in between. and power plug. NO cable jack or anything. am i suppose to rope a cable all the way around through door just to watch tv??

Theres antenna on roof. not sure if thats a TV antenna

That is a multi directional antenna on the roof. The cable connection on the outside is for when your at campground that has cable. That will go to your coax in last pic. There is a little push button on that plate. When you push it in that is your antenna booster when you are watching over the air you want this on. It will show a red or green light when on. When you watch cable from park you want this off. The round hole in this same plate is your 12v outlet. Just like cig. In car.

The hookup outside between speakers is to allow you to move the bedroom tv or living space tv outside to watch movies or tv.

You will need to go to settings on your tv and set up for cable or over the antenna. Then you will have to do channel search to get your channels. You will have to do this at every new location.

I hope this helped.

So cable outside goes to coax inside.

Roof antenna for tv or radio? Where does antenna on roof wired to? goto?

I don't really care about cable or antenna.

I want to play dvds. I thought this d3100 can play dvds??

If you connect to cable from an RV Park to the marked "Cable" outside, when you turn off the pre-amp at the cable connection with the cigar plug, then it will electronically disconnect from the Omni directional antenna on the roof, if you dis-connect the cable from an RV Park and turn ON the Pre-Amp then it connects to the roof antenna, the connection there at that cigar lighter plug goes to the TV. On the TV you will need to go thru the menu and find "Scan Channels"

Now to watch DVD, you need to run Video and Audio cable from the back of the DVD player to your TV, so from the "AV output" to the "Video, Audio In" on the TV, on the TV select Video.

The Omni directional antenna (round saucer) only goes to TV, there should be another car like type antenna on the roof that should be already connected to your DVD/Stereo system. might be folded down!

As for the outside connection... there should have been a coaxial port for connecting to the Antenna/Cable port. That port would be connected to a splitter built in behind the cigar port. There also should be a 110 volt outlet, looks like 2 of them one is probably the cable connection to the TV

If you bought this from an RV dealer they really should have gone thru this with you.

By the way there is no way to watch a DVD outside, unless inside those covers is a Audio/Video RCA jacks!

Never got into the tv on the walk through. some old guy

all i have outside by tv mount is a power plug

seems retarded. tv mount outside with speakers but no cable jack or anything.

inside theres a DVD player that you cant watch because it is not hooked up to anything.

will have to see if theres a nice weatherproof rca outlet to go outside. also find a rca outlet for inside. now i have to drill a hole through bottom of cupbaord just to get RCAs to a TV if i cant find a nice RCA mount

the rest of trailer is great. this TV thing is retarded
