Cherokee Grey Wolf Floor Replacement - Kitchen Slide Issue

Greetings from the Great White North,

We had a lino floor split over the winter in our 2014 Greywolf and decided to replace it with vinyl planking. There is a carpeted box under the sink/range that skimmed very closely over the lino but appears to be too snug to clear the planking.

I can't see what is inside / usage for this carpeted box; I checked the manual, floor plans and the searched the FR web forum but nothing on my model. The carpeted box does lift slightly from the floor with little effort but I need to understand if the plank flooring can be slid underneath the box itself or it there will be an issue getting some or all of the planking as close to the visible section of the floor when the slide is fully open.

Unfortunately neither the manufacturer nor the dealer will provide much support for an 11 year old RV.
Generic owners manuals are the RV Industry standard, with no model-specific nor brand-specific information.
Hopefully someone here can help provide some information for you.
