FAN: 12v hardwired Caframo Ultimate 757 FAN

Just finished a fan install. After testing a few options for 12v fans, I decided to install the Caframo Ultimate Fan. This fan is small, VERY quite and moves a lot of air. Purchased on Amazon for about $45. Installed fan above the bed, hardwired to a switch panel I had previously installed. I can provide more details if anyone wants to see electrical etc.

No shield on the fan?

It doesn’t need a grille. If you look it up on Amazon you’ll see it has patented finger safe technology. The blades have a shock absorbing leading edge.

Nice! Yeah, would like to see a post on your switch panel install. Right now I use a small box fan plugged into an outlet, that needless to say, gets annoyingly in the way.

I did post my switch panel install here:

I was also using an AC Fan, it was loud, didn't push much air, and took up a lot of space. 12V DC and VERY low wattage made this brand/model stand out to me.

Enjoy your Caframo Fan. I have been a fan of their fans since 1982 and I see they haven't changed that blade since then. We had a suction cup model in our sailboat and loved it. At that time they were made in Canada, I wonder if they still are? Enjoy.

Still made in Canada, still heavier then a big box fan. I was shocked how heavy the motor is, must be the same motor used in electric vehicles.
