Fresh Water tank over flow hose

Went out this week boondocking, and filled the fresh water tank while the camper was level. Reading for the fresh water was full. Hooked up the truck, and the camper sits at a slight angle (front high)... I have lowered the pin box as low as I can. When I arrived at the campsite the fresh water reading was 2/3 full (seemed like between 2/3 and full). My question is, does anyone have this problem? I was going to put a valve on it, has anyone done that? or are there other solutions others may have?

Do a search and you will find many folks have this problem. You can fix it by rerouting the vent hose or adding a valve.

This video explains the exact problem and fix.
I put a valve on mine and love it.
I leave it open while filling and wait untill I see water comming out the valve to know it’s full. Then close it for transport.
When I get all set up I open the valve to release any pressure or vacuum that has built up and then close it.
