Grease from electric jack

I was moving my WP 16BHS Black Label and noticed a lot of grease at the top of my electric jack foot. This has never been there before. Anything I should be concerned with?Click image for larger version

I don't think that I would be concerned just monitor how the Jack sounds when operating. Why are you removing the foot? do you replace it with a wheel?

I fully remove the foot and retract the jack when I travel.

you might consider leaving the foot in place in the fully retracted position to keep any dirt or debris out of the jack tube. JMHO

I think most people do the retract part, but the removal part not so much...

Leaving the foot actually gives you a bit of a skid plate in case you bottomed it out on something.

With that said, if you bottom out on a fully retracted jack, you likely have other problems and possibly other damage that the foot isn't really gonna help or hurt.

Leaving it in to keep out dirt, debris, and other junk and/or critters is a good idea.

The answer as to why you are seeing the grease now is that the glob of grease has just settled to the bottom of the tube from where it was originally on the gears. Summer heat will do that to grease. Having the foot there will catch it and prevent you from getting grease on you or your driveway(or anywhere else that you wouldn't want grease to get since it always finds your nicest clothes or shoes to fall on and then you track it into your house or vehicle).
