Grey Wolf 26DBH Air Conditioner question

So we have been using our new 2017 26DBH every weekend since April at a seasonal site. Initially it seems the AC would come on, run until it got to the set temp, cycle off, etc., then repeat. The thermostat is set to AC, auto, and a temp between 72 to 75 at different times.

The past few weekends I have noticed a slight variation whereas it will come on, run for about 2 minutes, then the fan will pause, the unit hums, and about 5 seconds later it resumes. It will run full blast for about 2 minutes and then pause again for about 5 seconds, hum, and then restart BUT now the second time the fan seems to blow in a lesser mode. At this point, it will keep running as long as it takes to get down to the set temperature. After that, it seems to run normal for as long as we leave it on. The next time we turn it OFF, like when we go home for the week, and then return next weekend, the above "cycle" plays out again.

I dont know if this is a problem, or if this is normal, just curious if others with the same or similar model have any input.

Thanks!

Mine runs like that with the fan in auto. I think it has something to control iceing up. Could be wrong, but it dose cool very well. Thermostat is off by 4 degrees on the high side.

Grey Wolf 26DBH Air Conditioner question

What it is doing is switching from high-speed fan to low speed fan. When it is warm in there it will be on high fan speed when It gets close to its temperature that it wants it will go to low-speed fan. Can't hear much of a difference in the fan speeds but if you pay attention you will.

Bingo.
If you are staying cool, don't worry.
I researched the same think on my 321BHTS last year.

Thanks for the feedback everyone - what you (all) said above makes perfect sense. It seems working fine, cooling as expected and all, so I will remain "aware" but not "concerned" at this point. Happy Camping!

My 2018 Artic Wolf rear A/C unit is running on auto fan sounds like it's on high will stop also for about 5 seconds hum then turn back on and at times repeat the same cycle.
My front A/C unit thermostat will not respond either cool auto or heat auto when trying to
change the temp setting.

Also both thermostats switch to Celsius rather than F.

Any thoughts?

When I got my 2016 Surveyor Cadet I experienced the same. The "wonderful" technicians at CW had no clue but the above reply's are what I found on this forum to settle my questions. If you are not quite as comfortable as expected, have an independent technician (NOT CW) check the refrigerant. Mine uses the newer high pressure CF410 Freon and it was slightly low. Big difference with about $100 service call & service.
Happy Camping

Is it iced up? Remove the filter cover and see if you see ice. Froze ours up in Florida from the humidity. I hate our domeric thermostat. It will work fine for a while then spas out. The second ac one is fine. I am trying to see what I can replace them with.

Thanks.
If you find any replacement thermostats please let me know.
These RV'S aren't free quality relative to the price would be appreciated.
No ice when I removed I the filter.

I'm still looking but my hope is to use a normal house thermostat.
