Hello Everyone! Landing Gear question

Hello folks!
I’m looking for some great advice from what I’ve heard is a great group of people. I’ve been camping for around 14 years with various styles and brands of campers. But… my wife and I purchased a used 2021 Wolfpack 365pack16 last spring and I’ve been having issues with the landing gear. Most of the time they struggle raising the camper and twice now it’s blown the fuse. A close friend who works for and rv dealer came over to check everything and he recommended replacing the motor, after checking that the batteries had 13.2 volts in them and load testing them. Well I replaced the motor today and it’s still doing the same thing. Since this is a used trailer I have no warranty or paperwork from the manufacturer so I’m lost! I really enjoy camping but set up and tear down are stressful with not knowing if it will work properly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You probably need to be in the pop up forum for advice on your rig blowing a fuse.
Perhaps an administrator will move you there.

In the meantime... Welcome to the forum!

His trailer is a 5th wheel.

My previous trailer sounded like it was struggling to lift the trailer. (5th wheel, electric jack). I opted to replace the landing gear along with the motor. It could be the gear was not lubed properly over the years. You could try that first.
My replacing the gear and motors made it a dream to raise and lower the trailer.

I lubed mine and that helped a lot. Raised the nose as high as it would go, sprayed the legs with a good lube, lowered it as much as I could, took the top caps off of the jacks and dumped some 30 wt motor oil in, then applied grease to all the gears I could find. 5 years and counting now.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll take it apart and lube everything up real good. It’s definitely worth a shot.

Well last weekend my son and I removed the legs off the 5th wheel and took them apart. NOT a single drop of grease anywhere, we completely lubed them all up and reinstalled. This weekend we took a close to home trip and everything worked smoothly!!! Thank you everyone so much for the advice!!
