Interior LED light strip voltage - 2022 Cherokee Alpha Wolf 30DBH-L

Howdy y’all,

Anyone have an idea what voltage the interior blue LED light strip/speaker lights run off?

Thanks - Squill

Moved thread from the General Tech and Repair section to the Cherokee sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information.

The Led's in your Cherokee are 12 volt. They should come on whether you are connected to shore power or not.

If you are going to mess with them, remember that LED can be fussy with how you hook up wires. If they don't work, switch the wires the other way

Thanks, I figured they were 12v I was just having some difficulty with my multimeter. I was replacing my tweeters when I realized the wiring for the little LED’s on the stock ones are fairly high gauge. I’ll be able to wire everything to a secondary controller and run 12v light fixtures in the rig without running any wires I hope.

You will be good.
My Alpha Wolf has 12 gauge wiring for the 12v accessories. (even if it had 18ga. the LED lights use very little current on 12v and will be fine)
I swapped out my LEDs with a RGB (color changing) LED system from Amazon that cost $9 and some waterproof LED strips. It has remote and makes it very easy to change colors, brightness, pattern... Both on the outside under the awning and inside around the popout and countertop.
