Hi,
I've located the low point drains and fresh water drain hoses The issue is, these are not caps but black plastic valves. I cannot open the valve, is there anything special I need to do (i.e. loosen middle screw?) Sorry, I do not have a pic right now.
if there is no cap there should be aturn handle like a shut off valve to open and close. if its just a tube with no shutoff its probably the fresh tank over flow not the drains
Thanks, yeah so the question is what do I need to do to open the valve? None of them turn, there is a screw in the middle of the valve...do I loosen it?
When mine was new it was a total pain to turn those valves. I thought they were stuck at first. Eventually they gave and can turn them now with slightly less difficulty.
Interesting, so what did you do to open them? I always feel like I am going to break the valve.....
Honestly? I just took a chance and cranked on it. You can see the positions of the valves and how goofy they installed them. So if the valve is on your right and facing at you it should turn up to open.
side note, mine aren't hard to turn when pressurized but you do get a wet a little. I try to remember to open a faucet first and take some of the pressure off before opening my low point drains.
