Low point drains

Should I drain my low point drains if I'm not camping for a month or so?

I never have. I'll drain the water heater and blow out the lines with air in between trips, but that's probably not really necessary either. I just like fresh water run through it if it's been sitting for more than a few weeks.

That's what I was thinking. Quite easy to turn two valves to drain and not have grungy water.

I'd go back and let them show you how to open the drains. You'll need to drain them eventually. Don't forget to sanitize your water tank and lines too before you use it.

First time i drained the low points on my 274dbh i had to use a vise grip and a large pliers to unloosen the plug. Use the vise grips to hold the white part of the plug from turning then pliers to get a good grip on the plug to loosen.

I open my low point drains once a year, but that is for winterizing which I know some of you don't have to do.

I drain most of the time. Changed out the caps to 1/4 turn ball valves

I guess it depends upon when the trailer was built. Mine started leaking and I had to tighten them all. Then again the water heater lines and potable water connection were all loose as well. Mine must have been built on a Friday or Monday. Wouldn't hurt to check all of your connections since its brand new.
