We’ve been dealing with a bathroom motion light switch that has a 48 sec timer until it shuts off. That normally works just fine until taking a shower enters the equation.. it requires constantly waving an arm out of the shower until finished. I decided to purchase a $10 RV light switch from Amazon and completed the process tonight! It works great and best of all no more showers in the dark!!
Pull out the fuse from the main panel before doing any electrical work. I removed the motion light front cap and loosened the two screws behind the cap. Then I removed the motion light switch from the wall and pulled the wires out of the wall. Next Cut the four wires from the motion light switch.
Next I spliced the white wires together. And connected each of the white and black wires to the light switch to complete the circuit and presto!! Standard light switch!
Yep. Sometimes these manufacturers just plain old outthink themselves. A wonderful idea, in certain cases. But this is obviously not one of those cases. An easy fix in the end. Nice.
