My new to me camper

A few months ago I decided to find us a camper, I looked at a lot of different models and years mostly ranging from 2000 to 2006. Some were just too short for me to stand in being 6'6" and I was set on bunk beds too. I thought I'd had to find a 5th wheel. Then I found a 2000 Cherokee 33z. I thought being older it would probably been too used for what I wanted. But went to look at it and it looked great. It does have a few small spots and slight water damage in two spots, locations have me figuring water pipe issue and a window leak. But other than that it's in good shape and I can stand straight up with no head room issues! The setup is queen up front and 3 bunks in the rear, and of course the table and couch beds.

I got it home one Friday and started cleaning, washed everything and cleaned out the inside real good. Then did a lot of lubing and checking on mostly all the camper. I still need to get a dry lube for the slide out. I then got some alpha caulk and dicor and went around the whole camper checking for cracks and making sure all seals were good. I still want to replace the door seal foam around the doors and thought about looking into the dicor roof protection.

Anyway here's some pictures! !

The ride home, met a good storm on the way home had some strong winds. Decided to pull over and wait for it to pass.

Wow. I agree. Really looks nice for a 2000, especially the interior.

Well we have setup camp down on the river. Found a good spot for monthly renting of the camp site. Nice and quiet down there. We were always down on the river in the boat on the weekends and coming back home, now we can go and stay longer! I even lucked out and got a spot with a dock for my boat. But here's a few pictures, we have enjoyed a few weekends so far and everything worked great on the cherokee.

The TN river is very large, you can catch about all of them. But I'd say catfish is the biggest choice coming from this area. Always see a lot of people using trot lines and pulling in some big catfish!
