Sorry to all those in a deeper freeze, but this is cool for this area too.

Approaching my 71st birthday, I'd say there is NO ONE NORMAL for Texas weather. We set records in the mid-80s last week and now this. We're predicted to be below freezing about 100 hours straight which is not what you'd call normal. A couple of years ago, a member asked here 'why do you need to winterize? don't you live in Texas?'. I posted a pic of a 5" layer of ice on my metal roof. It was there more than a week before some of it slid off and knocked the LNB arm off my satellite antenna!

14 degrees in Parker County, TX - about 20 minutes west of Fort Worth. We've got a high today predicted of 30, back down to 19 tonight and 20 tomorrow night. People don't realize that besides getting to 108 to 112 degrees in the summer, we have pretty darned cold weather here in the winter.

Then back up to 60 by Sunday - and back into the 20's next week. Always a roller coaster.

But, as they say - if you don't like Texas weather...wait a minute.
