Owner's manual

Does anyone know how I can get a manual for a 2008 Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf 17BH travel trailer? I tried a download site, but all I got was redirects and popup ads.

The Forest River manual is fairly generic. We have a copy you can download. It's in the "Files" found above in the menu bar.

Hope that helps you.

the owner's manual will be a big disappointment, so don't spend the money.

as said, it's generic and only covers basic RV systems common to all types of RVs.
nothing is model-specific, not even type of RV-specific.

Thanks. I had already found that option, but it's very generic, and covers RVs in general. It's better than nothing, but I wa hoping to find a manual specific to my model.

Lol. You won't find a manual that you seek.
The one you read is as specific as it. Gets

As for a manual, that's it.

Most of us create a collection of assortered appliance and system manuals that apply to our own campers. Either create a binder or save the PDFs to a computer. That will be useful to you. The download area contains many of these and feel free to add/upload any you think should be included in our library.

And if it's not in a manual, a quick post on FRF can help.

Oh Well....I'll just have to live with it. At least I have all of the appliance manuals.

That's a great idea. I'll compile everything I have that's relevant and make a binder.

Did that when I started my "Dash One" (AF pilot talk) for my camper. When the book got over 20 pounds, I moved all files from paper to computer files (PDF and DOC), URLs, and photos.

It quickly became known here as the "Herkbrary". Currently about 3 GIGs of stuff, I could never go back to paper. I keep it updated on a portable 160 Gig drive, thumb drive, iPad, iPhone, and back up regularly to my home computer.

No matter where I am, the files are available. Visiting a neighbor's camper, I can quickly find what I need to help solve a problem they might be having or show them photos of how to mod their camper to make it better.

I love DROPBOX (http://db.tt/Dqafwgju) - free storage that syncs between your smart phone, iPad and all your computers. And...you get 2 or 3 Gb free.

I've been thinking of something like this. Quick question (because I'm too lazy to research it myself) - will the files be accessible if you're in an area with poor cell or wireless?

Yes...absolutely, because it actually syncs or mirrors the Dropbox folder anywhere you set it up. There is an app for Android and iPhone (probably blackberry too), plus you can sync it to your laptop, home computer, etc. - and the files always reside on the Dropbox server for even more redundancy.

For free - it's a great tool, and if you need more space - then you can upgrade to the paid version.

I've been using Google's Drive, with the latest iOS app update adding edit function to your docs it blows away drop box.
