It stinks, but at least I have the camper--I got it right before covid, and it cost me about half of what they cost now. I'd say this was some kind of fate, so I'm just grateful!
50 watt solar panel on the roof?
What battery do you use?
Does the fridge work at all? How many day will it run until the battery is drained? I'm sure there are other issues at play here.
Our 2021 16fq we got the first trip without a lower hookup we found out ou solar panel wasn't hooked up properly and it was doing nothing. That was at the end of our season here in Canada. It was fixed at the dealership but haven't had a chance to check it yet

We had very good service from one of these from Sams Club until it was the deal maker on selling our old trailer. It had the 8000 btu window unit but never struggler to run it or the microwave.

Thumbs up "Solar Generator" Works Well

Have a 2022 Wolf Pup 16BHS Back Label. Have driveway tested and have dry camped/boondocked.

My trailer came with "Juice Pack" with extra panel for 100 watts solar total on roof factory/dealer installed. I have a Jackery 1500 with 4 100 watt solar panels.

I can both plug jackery into trailer through power cord and and have option to use a noco 10amp to charge battery.

Using interior fridge (12v only Evermore 11 cf), and occasional water pump and lights with outside small fridge shut off I could stay out indefinitely.

No microwave or ac use and already had charging "bricks" for cell phones etc. so I don't need to charge devices off trailer battery or Jackery.

Usually use either charging method each evening until battery topped off (15 to 25% of Jackery) and solar charge jacklery when I have the chance. Not sure which I prefer yet - likely sunshine dependent.

For me keeping both TT battery and Jackery charged up "early and often" is best. I don't let either battery drain too far that I am in hole I can recharge with solar in a day.

For this size trailer I believe a traditional generator is overkill and there is not really enough space and available weight to haul a generator, fuel and needed tools/parts. My solar panels fit perfect on or underneath bunk beds.

Enjoy the trips all! TJ
