Replace your factory tires
Another tire post, sorry. Our 2019 Wolf Pup BL has been towed approx 500 miles total. We are seasonal and its only about 75 miles from home. I'm well aware of the 1000 posts warning of the Castle Rocks but figured I'll get to it at some point. We don't travel much outside of the seasonal site. Both tires sidewalls are splitting after 1 year. Just wanted to do another PSA for new buyers. Change your tires immediately, make it the highest priority. Have a great Holiday season.

Those tires were made the 27th week of 2018, just a little over 2 years old, they should have some type of warranty.
That really sucks, I wish you the best of luck going forward.

look at e custom hitch .on there web site. got my tires there on rims ,delivered no tax, free ship. no towing to shop. sold old ones on craigslist. came in to house in 4 days.

If the brand has a bad reputation and is already failing, I don't want a warranty replacement. I'd rather just buy good replacement tires.

I honestly believe that all tires put on trailers at the factory are designed only for the specific purpose of getting the trailer from the factory to the dealer. After that they should be disposed of and replaced with good tires.

It seems that Castle Rocks have the worst of the bad reputations on this forum. I would say if you have CR's, get rid of them ASAP.
My Avenger came with TowMax LR D (BlowMax) tires, we ran them 2 years, and nearly 5000 miles.. then this past Spring we changed them out with GY Endurance LR E tires. Our TowMaxes were still in good condition, and I used them to change out tires on 2 of my other trailers with the 4 we pulled from the camper. The difference between the LR D TowMax tires and the GY Endurance LR E tires is eye opening. I had TowMax tires on my dump trailer, and got good service out of them considering the hard usage that comes with life on a dump trailer.

Replaced all of mine with Goodyear Endurance after a major Castle Rock blowout on the Interstate. Tires were not even a year old, properly inflated, and were always covered when not in use. Luckily damage was minimal.

I would never buy another TT and keep the original tires. My last had its first blow at 1,200 miles, just 9 miles from home. In total, before I finally got smart, I blew 4 tires over 3 years, for a total cost of about $14,000 in damages and tire and wheel replacements. I would also take the new unit to an alignment specialist and have the axles aligned. That's just me, but its based on real life experiences.

Tires are crap
What I would like are some inexpensive white spoke steel wheels with decent tires than these flashy 'mag' wheels they put on everything with those crap tires. That's how my 2001 Nash came, with goodyears.

The sidewall separation shown in the picture posted by sfd0124 [/B] looks like the same damage I experienced with the new OE Continental Vanco Four Seasons tire that came with my Isata 3 motorhome. While still under mfr warranty one of my tires showed sidewall separation shown in the attached picture. MY tire shop certified that the separation looked like a mfrg defect. I tried to get replacement cost coverage from Continental Tire USA, Dynamax, and MBZ to no avail - all passed the buck to the other except Continental who claimed it was "Ozone damage"  .
I agree the the tires furnished with new RVs seem to be picked based upon the RV mfr's price and are only intended to get the RV from the factory to the dealer. Don't be surprised to have to replace our tires soon after purchasing your new RV.

I have seen a few new RVs with excellent tires from the factory. Examples would be Goodyear Endurance and Sailun. Just something to check when shopping.

I don't understand all the issues, is it a case of tire pressure, loading - overweight, hitting something on the road (curbing).
I've had 3 different trailers and not one flat or blowout, all "china bombs", heck, haven't even replaced tires on any before I sold it. I have always kept my pressure at max. cold pressure. Just lucky I guess?

IMO.. One possible cause for problems is backing up and turning sharp at the same time on trailers with 4 tires.. It causes the tires to flex a lot, putting extra pressure on the side walls.. You are lucky.. better buy a lottery ticket !

New Rims required ?
I have the original factory tires. I want to upgrade to the GY Endurance E Load tire which runs at 80#'s.
Do I need new rims or are the factory rims ok for 80 psi?

Based on the speed rating on my tires and how people blow by me on the interstate I suggest people are overdriving their tires, which can lead to excessive heat build up and blow outs. I have over 2500 miles on my original tires and they look like new!
