Welcome to the forum, Papa4.

Can you please post what your RV is - year, make, model #. Hopefully someone with a similar model will know what the factory provides at the 14”X14” opening for you to work with and weather a second AC unit can easily be integrated into the existing HVAC controls.

Make model and year will help. Also need to know if it is a 30A or 50A RV.

A 30A RV will be much more involved . If it is prewired it is probably 50A.

If your unit is pre-wired for second ac just pull the trim off the vent and check for the 120V wiring if it's there then to the distribution box to see if a breaker is installed for the second ac . IF not you may need at add breaker and wire in . May or may not have a thermostat wire run all ready . if not you can get a unit with a lower cover control . You have a few options . if your Thermostat is mutli zone then you will need same make of ac , if not then you can choose what you want . suggest you hire it out since you need to ask these questions .
