With the mild weather we are having I decided to go check my mouse traps and make sure everything was ok with the trailer.
I was greeted with water all over the floor and ice all down the ladder at the bunks.
Seems the corner of the slide seal leaked.
Went out and checked the outside of the seal and noticed that where the roof gutter is it’s right at a seam. Amd the water leaked through this and drips down the siding onto the corner of the slide out right where it’s leaking. It’s not broken it’s just where the two pieces of gutter meet. Real bad design. No evidence of any sealant on the gutter to seal this. Same scenario on the awning side in the exact same spot.
The slide out is closed and has been since I put it away for the winter. I regularly use the seal lube on the seals and did so when winterizing it.
I can possibley pull the slide out when it warms up to have a look But am worried that there could be ice buildup now on the seals.
How is the top slide out seal supposed to be orientated ? I assume the wiper seal follows the direction of the slide. So if it’s in then the seal edge should be facing in. Then when it goes out it faces out ?
I can’t get a good picture of it now since the slide is in. But will post a pic when I can get the slide out.

Have you left the slideout open a lot? It's surprising that it's cracked so soon.

Never leave the slide out. Only when we are camping.
It’s been sitting in my driveway winterized for the past couple months.
I have the slide out now because I have to clean all the water that’s inside the trailer.
It’s a real bad design where the joint is in the eaves trough. I looks like it was attempted to be sealed. But basically it’s just plastic to plastic joint with a little bit of sealant smeared on it.
