I live in a pretty country area of NJ (believe it or not, there are!). Far enough from urban areas that you don't get the spill off predators, and spread out enough even the local junkies are not an issue (there's ALWAYS local junkies now). I'm not in a 'neighborhood'. When I first bought the house, I used to buy Halloween candy. Don't bother anymore without a single trick or treater in 20 years.

We had one stolen off a pop-up while having breakfast in an iHOP. Since then they have all been secured with a snake lock and a locking lug nut.

It said Toyota on the rim itself, so that's what I presumed. The lug pattern looked the same but the holes were much larger (the trailer lugs might fit all the way through. It's still perplexing that they mounted it. Why not just take the tire and be done with it? Whatever. Water under the bridge.

I really wanted a galvanized rim. I was going to settle for the white painted rims, but TSC website lies. When you add either tires available, it only had ship to store as an option. I called the store to verify. He went even went to see if he could find one. Nonetheless, I have time before the next trip to get locks and a new spare.

That is just insane! I am definitely getting a wheel lock set , and some sort of chain lock. I am also going to look for some sort of locking battery case.

Just remember before you spend what can be a lot of money on countermeasures. All can be defeated. Today's portable power tools with angle grinders and cut off wheels go through a lot of stuff like a knife through butter. You can end up spending more than the batteries are worth for one of those big battery box locks. Most of these thefts do not happen when you stop somewhere to pick up a few groceries or eat on the road. They happen in storage areas away from prying eyes.

Yes, it seems that the lesson to be learned is "Do not use unenclosed storage facilities."

Sometimes I curse my big property, especially cutting 2 acres of grass. But then I'm thankful I have the room to park my trailer right in the driveway.

I'm right there with you... 32 acres and room for a couple hundred R/Vs but thankful I don't have to put mine elsewhere.

Small farm tractor with 6' wide mower, right?

I wish. John Deere garden tractor GT235(bigger than a typical lawn tractor) with a 42" mulching deck. Six blades under there, hardly leaves a clipping to be seen. The nice thing about it, I mount a giant 44" snow thrower to it, so machine sees year round use, but only one machine to maintain.

Here's the mower.

Here's a better one, costs a little more.

And the tractor.

The right size for that mower

It's the right size for that mower and your field--get your job done in less than half the time.

But a REAL tractor costs $150,000-200,000, has air conditioning, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4-channel audio, and can be programmed to do the entire field by itself. Even the seat would make motorhome owners covetous.
