tips for Buying used toyhauler

We are looking to purchase a used toyhauler and are asking for tips/bewares. plan to look at a 2008 Cherokee WolfPack and was advised to look for hail damage, water damage, make sure its hooked up to test water and electric. has 30 amp plug. 6 gal water heater, 100 gal fresh water. he is including a 5500w champion generator. pics look clean and guy says it was pleasure only, not lived in, and no smoking. says it was stored under a carport, sides do look weathered but not damaged. would be pleasure vehicle for us and our first Rv purchase. suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your time.

That generator is not appropriate for campground usage but fine for boondocking.

Check carefully for signs of water damage and the smell of mold. Walk all areas of the floor for soft spots (hard to repair). Make sure everything works.
Also, be aware that some rv parks will not let you in if the rig is over 10 years old.

Good luck.

Check for water damage soft spits in floor and if possible walk the roof checking for tears and or soft spots. Look for badly cracked caulk on roof. If it has a slide out make sure slide out roof is in good shape no soft spots etc. check slide operation make sure it opens and closes smoothly. If it has a slide invest in a slide topper if it doesn’t already have one. Check tires and all lights. I would also make sure it is hooked up to power and test heat and A/C units let them cycle to make sure they work as intended. Also ask them to have it plugged in for a couple hours before you pick it up so you can check to see if the fridge is getting cold.
