Possibly. The larger tire will likely have a larger outer diameter. You need to make sure you have room above the tire.
You also need to make sure you can find a wheel with the same bolt pattern as what you have now.
The benefit typically is that you can get into a higher load range with more margin on the carrying capacity. What comes from the factory are usually crappy tires that can barely carry the weight carried by the axles.
