Water draining

Newbie here. I've tried a search as well.

2018 Cherokee Grey Wolf 26DBH.

Fresh water tank is empty. We are hooked up to the city water. All water faucets operate normally. We've had the fresh water tank drain open since we bought it. Today is the first time water is draining from the valve. Hasn't happened any other camping trip. What am I doing wrong or is something broken? Thank you for the help.
