Water pump not turning off

Adjusting the pressure switch seems to have corrected the issue. Backed out about one full turn.

Understood... but if cold water valve into hot water tank in open and the valve at the top to get hot water out is open and the bypass is open, the water just circulates through the hot water tank. When you turn a hot water tap on, you will get hot water out of the tank mixed with water that comes up through bypass pipe. Not a plumber, but still feel with this bypass valve is open, the pump just circulates water through the hot water tank. The bypass valve has to be closed to work properly if the hot water tank is being used. . I've been wrong before, but it is something I would check as it would be an easy fix.

You are correct in that valve has to be closed for proper flow of hot water... but... you are not correct if that valve is open it allows water to continually circulate through the water heater causing the pump to run continually.
