Josh from Haylett RV texted me and said he read this thread and saw the switch. He said the switch is a fan speed control.

It would make sense moreso like scrapper said early on as the paddle fan speed control seeing where its located as you enter the 5er its right in front of you. I don't have a 5er but did the 360o view on the inside so where would a ceiling vent fan be located? This would be a good location to turn it on when you enter and turn it off when you head to bed for the night. I don't recall the OP ruling that out yet. Hope he comes back on to give us an update soon, I'm not sleeping at night.

Some knobs are just there.
I hung an extra thermostat on the wall for my wife to use.
For some reason that made me think of the old child seats that have a little plastic steering wheel and a squeeze horn.

Did I miss something? I thought this was already settled by a couple others with the same knob that it was the subwoofer?

Sounds more like it get wired to whatever the person wiring feels like wiring it to. LOL.

If anyone can get the right answer, who has connection with the RV manufacturers, it would be Ol Uncle Josh the RV nerd, who just so happens looks and acts like my brother in law, just a much slimmer quieter version.

We should all install mystery knobs in our RVs.

Look at how much fun it is!

I asked my dad one time, where does this road go? He said, it doesn't go anywhere, it stays here all of the time!

He didn’t specify. I didn’t enquire more and only replied with a “thank you” because I felt lucky as it was that he even replied to me.

I'm back! Sorry. I love all of your ideas, unfortunately none of them are right. I tried the fans, subwoofer, lights, everything! I've tried several times to get ahod of FR with no success. If someone had an insider to get an answer, that would be great! On the other hand, in the meantime we decided to trade it off for a Keystone Raptor. So, we may never find out. We took delivery today, and will be transferring our things over the next few days here at the dealership. Sorry to perk everyone's curiosity then let you down.

Some day, you'll find out that switching that knob ten times...

turns your rig into a

Keystone Raptor.

Sorry for not getting back on here the last few weeks, for some reason I am not getting notifications of replies. I figured the post went dead. I really appreciate all of your help in trying to figure this thing out, seriously. You're a good group of guys! God bless you all! Thanks again!

Which fan, did he say? It doesn't seem to affect my ceiling fan, and I doubt it would be for the bathroom? Both fans are manual operation from what I can see.

We have the same subwoofer installed as well and it is controlled by the stereo in the rig. It is truly weird to me the way they make these deals in the same plant and they vary so much.

I think you're correct. I tried the LED's with no change, inside or outside. This morning I tried the sub woofer and didn't notice a change, mine is also controlled by the radio from what I can tell. I really have no idea lol

I love a great mystery.

Since it's located next to the thermostat, my bet is on a speed control. But, there may be a setting in the thermostat itself that may be overriding it, such as auto. Have you tried to change the thermostat settings and then the knob?

Thanks for coming back and sorry it wasn't resolved but wasn't the Artic Wolf brand new? Not to be so forward and I doubt the knob issue is why you either traded or sold a brand new RV but curious on why the change? Though I'm guessing you decided a 5er toy hauler better fit your needs On the other hand congratulations on your newest 5er. Hopefully this one doesn't have any mystery knobs....
