Why no traffic

I am a member of the Jayco Owners forum as well and they seem to get 10 times the traffic and posts. Lets see some more posts on here. Questions or comments always seem to help some. Just a thought.

Fine just the way it is. Easier to handle a few problems at one time than it is to have 200 all at once.

I'm wondering if you maybe have the threads collapsed or something. If you are talking about maybe our sister RVLife Jayco Owners site, the stats reflect different numbers.

When you look at just todays posts in both forums

Jayco=75
FRF=182

Are you comparing the entire Jayco site to just the Cherokee sub-forum here?

So I owned a Jayco travel trailer and now own a Alpha Wolf. I check each forum daily for tips and tricks and what nots. Jayco had 18 posts in the last 24 hours or so. FRF has three (3). I know there are more areas to choose from, but I just check under Cherokee. as that is the base for the Alpha Wolf. Am I looking in the wrong place, or have my settings wrong? help me out.

Thanks

Yeah, you will miss out on a lot of information if you just limit your viewings to one particular brand or model. There are things that are common to many RV's (EX electrical, converters, appliances, tires, axles, etc) and are listed under other categories/forums. Even Cherokee owners will post under these other categories outside the Cherokee Subforums. You may want to view the discussions under:

General Travel Trailer & Fifth Wheel Discussion

General Tech and Repair

General Community Discussions

Modifications and Updates

If I remember correct, our Jayco sister site doesn't have their subforums broke down into the categories we have. And speaking of our sister sites, there are Jayco subforums on our Thor and Irv2 forums that may help.

https://www.irv2.com/forums/

https://www.thorforums.com/forums/

Irv2 also has a Forest River subforum.

Jayco is one of many different brands owned by Thor Industries, which is like Forest River Incorporated. FR Incorporated has almost 100 different brands and Thor Industries has even more.
So comparing Cherokee with Jayco isn't the same. A proper comparison would be Jayco and the Forest River RV division of FR Incorporated.
So add up all the posts from the 34 different FR RV division's brands, like Rockwood, Flagstaff, Rpod, NoBo, Sabre, Surveyor, Berkshire, Forester/Sunseeker, Vibe, Wildcat, Salem, Wildwood and so on. Compare the number of those posts with the number of Jayco posts.

I just click on "New Posts" everytime I log in. There is plenty to read there....I log in daily and often times a couple times a day. If I go about 24 hours without logging in I will often be over 200 posts since I last logged in.

Caution: You will miss some older new posts. After reaching the end of the new post list, note the title of the last thread. Go to Quick Links|Today’s Posts. Go to the same page number as the last page number on the new post list. Scroll down from there (going to the next page if necessary) looking for that last thread title. Very often, there will be unread threads after that last thread!

I use New Posts after exhausting everything of interest in the Recent Discussions list on the right side of the page. Caution here too: That list bounces up and down (at least on my iPad) for about 10 seconds before settling down. You might click on something you do not intend if you are not patient enough.

After I am satisfied that I have read all new posts of interest, I tap Quick Links|Mark Forums Read. Then I take one last look at Recent Discussions to see if anything had just popped up and inadvertently got marked as read.

My issue with only using the New Posts feature, is that many don't read which section it's in nor any of the previous posts. They post, only to find it was in the wrong section or the issue was solved much earlier.
