Wolf Pack 16FQ BL Solar Package

Hello All -

I am picking up our new Wolf Pack 16FQBL on Saturday and the dealership description says it includes the Juice pack Expansion kit with 100 watt solar. I can't seem to find any info on what this upgrade consists of. Is it a larger panel? Is it and additional panel? Can one add more panels using the existing monitor and charge regulator? Forest River doesn't seem to have a lot of info available online. Thanks in advance.

Moved thread from the General Tech and Repair section to the Cherokee sub-forum since the OP is asking for information on particular features in their Cherokee product.

I have a 2021 16BHS-BL with the juice pack, very similar to your model. Mine has a 50w solar panel. The juice pack on mine functions more as a battery trickle-charger when the camper is not in use. Works great for that purpose. You'll need significantly more solar wattage in situations without shore power/boondocking when the 12v refrigerator is in use for more than ~24hrs. There's a lot of threads on the topic if that's the direction you want to go.

The expansion kit includes a 100w panel in addition to the 50w.
It has the same charge controller, just adds the 100w panel. This charge controller cannot handle over 200w so if you want to add more you need a new controller.

I have this expansion too and IMO 150w is still not enough to run fridge and lights and other accessories while boondocking.
I will probably be adding a few more panels, 10ga wiring, a new 60amp MPPT charge controller and 2 100ah LiFePo4 batteries soon.
