Wolf Pup 16FQ tongue weight

I desperately need an actual tongue weight for a 16fq, either standard or black label.

I have empty gross numbers from a few four jamb stickers but every unit says 444# tongue regardless the configuration. Is that just a calculated maximum?

Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.

That 444 number is a fictional dry tongue weight. NO trailer weighs anywhere near the brochure/website dry weight numbers, loaded for camping. Doesn't factor the weights of the batteries, factory options, water and trailer cargo.

If it's a single axle, I would use 13% of the GVWR as a ballpark number for actual loaded tongue weight.

Thanks Dan. I'm with you there, I was just hoping someone had a measure tongue weight. I would expect the empty TW to be closer to 350-375.

Sorry, no way will it be that low, which is the deceiving problem with single axle trailers. They will almost always have heavier tongue weights than a comparable tandem axle trailer.
I'm estimating that the actual tongue weight, when loaded for camping, will be at least 500lbs.

Got from FR website - Wolf-PUP 16FQ
Hitch Weight=444 lbs
CCC=913 lbs
GVWR=3944 lbs
UVW=3031 lbs
seems FR's calc of tongue weight is 11.2576% of GVWR

That's why you should use 13% of GVWR, for a single axle trailer.
That number is for a stripped-down version of the trailer, no options and no batteries. Then you add water and cargo weight in the trailer and that tongue weight jumps up.
