Wolf Pup, drawers added under FQ

We are enjoying our Wolf Pup 16FQ. However we were struggling a bit with how little storage it had compared to our old 25' Areolite. The front queen had a lot of space under the foot of the bed but accessing it was clunky if one of us was still in bed. My solution was to cut open the foot of the bed and install the bottom two thirds of an old dresser we had in the house. I need to work on matching the color to the trim in the camper more closely but this was a big improvement. There is still enough room behind the drawers to access the bypass valves on the water heater.

Attached are a few process photos and the finished product.

Nice idea! We use the outside storage of our Wolf Pup for our outdoor chairs, fire pit tools, chocks, etc. So I'm not sure I could add a dresser. Since the outside storage and under the bed are same area. Unless I kept that stuff in the truck and used under the bed same as you. It looks like your bed runs the length of the TT. Is that so? Ours runs side to side. The FQ must be a little larger. I love the mod though and I think I'll look into something like it

The bed is a full queen in the front of the camper, hence FQ. The photos were shot through the door. The foot of the bed lines up roughly with the hinged edge of the door. We use the outside storage for the dirtier stuff, campfire tripod, propane stove, propane grill, dutch oven, and wood blocks for under the tongue jack and stabilizers. Outdoor chairs ride on the bed.
