WP 16BH-BL ordered...now I wait

Well, we did it! [emoji51]

The factory order is in for our 2021 Wolf Pup 16BHS Black Label.

I know, ordering a TT during COVID is crazy. But I've wanted this for years and we finally are in a place where we can afford it and take longer camping trips with the kids.

The size, layout, and features of the Wolf Pup Black Label have evolved to a configuration that is exactly what we wanted.

The anxious wait now begins to see when we might actually get the dang thing. I'll update the status of the build and process here to pass the time (and hopefully entertain you folks while we get through this stupid pandemic spike).

Current status

Dealer placed factory order on 10/28/2020

Cherokee states build might start on 12/1/2020

Expected delivery currently sometime in January.

Specs

2021 Wolf Pup BHS Black Label
+Juice Pack (solar usuals, Furrion external port gone)
+Adventure Package (15" tires and 2" lift, 4 different tire subs possible - roll of the dice)

Here's to waiting impatiently!

Congratulations! Looks like you'll have the rig in time for spring camping. (fingers crossed)

Congratulations! We ordered a 2021 Mini Lite 2205S on 10/14/2020. No clue when we’ll be able to pick it up. Ready for early spring camping would be great. Much earlier and I could be towing in snow.

Same boat here! We Ordered ours around 9 Aug. Patiently waiting, but said we don't really want to take possession until late March. We'll begin paying storage. I have a feeling that our dealer got our camper in quite quickly as a new one with our exact specs popped up on their site (plastic still covering lots of items), but I assume they were going to try and sell it, gambling they would still get ours in over the winter. So long as that works, I am ok. Realistically, with ND winters, I don't see us camping until April or later.

Ours is a 17JG BL and I LOL about some of the options being a toss-up. That's what I was told too. I'd prefer a set of black wheels, but they may be brushed alum?

Just got an update from my dealer:

FR expects to start production on December 28. Possible delivery on January 31.

Sounds like free winter storage to me...

Got my new Curt Echo brake controller.
I ordered it through mychevy rewards, so 10% off, free shipping, and points on the purchase!

They now include a strap, which was much needed.

Congratulations. The wife and I have a 2019 Wolf Pup FQ Black Label. It has been perfect for us. A nice upgrade from the regular wolf pup line.

Congratulations.
The Black Label has a lot of nice upgrades from my Limited.

Check out all the modification threads. Even a brand new TT can use some improvements. Mattress definitely.
Unless your dealer is incredible, plan on a lengthy clean out of sawdust and metal shavings in every nook and cranny.
Extra cable and hose lengths for when you have locate the TT further from the hookups than desired. Water pressure regulator. Power cable adapters to use at home. 30 amp system, I always run a separate 15/20 amp 12AWG cable from the camp pedestal to an outside table to lessen the burden on the camper’s system. Air conditioning, microwave, electric water heater, only run two at a time. Throw in a toaster and you may trip the mains.
If you can work a deal, upgrade the tires for delivery. See China Bomb posts. I’m still running mine three years later but we only went out once this year and I keep them covered out of the sun much as I can.
The Pups tow great. You’ll likely need a weight distributing hitch. Check your outside mirror width. I needed extensions when I used my 2008 Explorer. You should be able to look straight down the trailer sides.

We got lucky. Our local dealer already had several 16BHS on order for some time, so when we came in September they put our name on one of them. Brought it home last weekend. Not that we're camping with it over the winter, but we've already spent a couple nights in it.

You're going to love it when it gets in!

I'm curious for those that got a 16BHS recently, what is your fresh water tank size?

FR just updated the Wolf Pup website and all 2021 WP floorplans went from 32gal to 26gal. Lame.

I can't say for sure, but my understanding from other posts that I have read, is that the 32 gal. fresh water capacity includes the 6 gal. in the water heater tank. Maybe they quit doing that. My waste tanks have a label stating the capacity, but my fresh water tank does not.
Just a guess.

I love the Curt Echo. Don't use the strap that comes with it as it does come loose. Instead use tie wraps and cut them off after each use.

I got mine from "advanced auto parts" and used a 20% online coupon which got me $46 off of their list of $229.99. Join their club before ordering and get $25 to spend later. Use online codes for additional savings. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...180/12030114-P

When you pull a trailer with its' own set of ELECTRIC brakes, you need a brake controller. This controller both delays the braking and also in effect lowers the braking depending upon the driving and towing conditions (I.E. weight, off-road, snow, etc) and allows you to change these presets as you drive and even manually apply the trailer's brakes without pressing on the tow vehicle's (TV) brake pedal.

The trailer is getting the brake signal from your brake light circuit.
