Every time I hear “juice pack” I laugh. The so called “juice pack” can’t even keep up with the 12V fridge as the battery is almost halfway before sun set in middle of summer. Can’t wait to replace entire “juice pack” for something useful.

Agreed. Besides the Juice Pack itself, the biggest problem with it is Cherokee throws a 50w panel and hardware just to say "we have solar!" but don't share why they did. In their defense, they make zero claims that its intended purpose is for off-grid camping. The other problem is salespeople claiming that "your fridge will run for days!" These two problems lead to unrealistic expectations for people who don't know any better. Realistically, they should market this system as a trickle charger and a solar system that will keep the fridge cold on travel days without totally draining the battery.

I ended up putting a Frankenstein system together. I still have the factory 50w but added three Renogy 50w panels, swapped out the controller with an MPPT, and have a 100Ah lithium battery.

I like what Keystone RV just announced. Customers can customize a factory solar system in all their models to meet their electrical needs.

Yeah - also, I noticed the "Safe for Lithium Battery" sticker below the fridge, but have no clue what it even means. Does it mean you can swap the battery and nothing will catch fire, but you still need to do some tweaking, or is it direct battery swappable?
Either way, I have an EPEVER tracer 4210an lying around so I might just do the MPPT swap as well, and replace the 50W with at least a 300W setup, maybe that can keep up with the fridge.

The dc 27 is a useless battery for units with a DC fridge. It wont last the night and certainly will drain well past 50%. It will kill it within 1 or 2 years. I bought a 12 volt 100 ah and it works perfectly without worry of spoiling my food or over draining the battery. The green eye on the 27 is basically for looks. It's a pos battery. Chunk it.
