typically there is a cut-off valve for the fridge ice maker water line, probably located in a lower cabinet nearby, or like mine, in the lower half-bath cabinet in the nextdoor bathroom, where the bath water lines already are. I have to access mine by removing screws from the lower 'doors', which are just for looks, and cover up the water lines, wiring, sewer pipes, and the furnace unit.
the factory also does not typically leave this water line valve ON, which is why most of us have this same question early on : )
