2017 Isata 5 36DS main slide measurement

My motorhome is several hours away and I am trying to order a new slide topper for the main slide in the living room/kitchen area. Mine got caught in the wind going down the freeway.

Does anyone know the length of the topper? I think a measurement of the slider itself as measured from the outside edge to edge without getting on a ladder would be sufficient. I probably don't need the depth (in/out) measurement.

Please, can somebody measure that length for me?

Thank You
Dave

You need the model number off the roll up tube then call Carefree for replacement.
This is from mine.

My coach is at a Ram Dealer awaiting a lift pump (one month and waiting. I wonder if they are hoping I will take it away?)

I am scheduled to replace the awning on Sept 12th. Hopefully, the coach will be ready too.

Hopefully the generally applied Gorilla Tape has not covered the part number. Though I suspect it has.

The RV Dealer who is doing the work seems to think that the length dimension is all that is required. I looked up CareFree and the length does seem to be a big deal for ordering the part.

If you can not confirm the model number I can send exact measurement of slide topper. Let me know.

I would be very grateful if you would measure the slider side to side. And/or the topper side to side. I hope they are about the same?

BTW, I see that there are some options in the Carefree product line regarding material and stitching. I am trying to convince myself that this is a desired "upgrade" vs a repair. lol

Though in defense of the Isata 5 I did see a motorhome going South on the day of the damage that lost its awning while traveling at highway speed. This is not something I wish to see again. What a flopping mess... they pulled over as quickly as they could.

My guess is that the combined wind of me going North at 70 mph and the wind going South at 60 mpg was just more than the material was designed for.

Thank You for your help. (again)

This is what we were running...(55 means it is our part number. Not sure if the vendor part number is the 2nd part of that)
55-LI076625D42 TOPPER, SLIDE OUT 76" W/CARBON FIBER FLX GUARD BLACK
55-LI141625D42 TOPPER, SLIDE OUT 141" W/CARBON FIBER FLX GUARD BLACK

I am trying to change over to the Alpine version. It has anti-billow device built into the awning so you no longer need that plunger to touch the side of the coach. Not sure if it is a direct replacement....

The slide out awning material measures 144 x 47.
I measured an old one I had replaced. ( hit a tree limb going out of a campground and tore a hole in it. )

Brian, an improvement in the awning design is to put a slight downward slope when open to avoid rain water from pooling in the center.
