Wow...looks awesome. What did you do about the small grill on the upper driver’s side of the hood? Was yours already blacked out?

It is still chrome, I got a hold of John Grooms from Caliber 9 and ordered one to match. I didnt even think of that when I ordered the grille kit. John is a great guy, took care of my asap.

Almost done, running out of time. lol. I am pretty excited though, this is the picture I had in my head when I ordered the unit last summer, ordered parts and they have been sitting in boxes for months. My dad was a huge help, he did a lot of the driving parts around for painting, powder coating etc...
The mirrors were a little tricky, but everything worked out great. Now have to get it on the road.

OH I think Freightliner needs to use less wires behind the dash, these things require a PHD to figure out what is what, lol.

Was just going to ask what you did on the mirrors...but it looks like you found them as tricky as we do.
To get black...they are non-power. The powered mirrors are chrome. So we have to pull them apart to paint/powder coat them and we have Freightliner do it, so i they break them they buy them.

I bought a set of black plastic ones from Raney's truck parts. I had them painted to match the truck.
Over the weekend I took the motors out of the factory mirrors and installed them into the painted ones, everything mounted up the same. The wiring on the factory mirrors didnt match the aftermarket, the reason I changed them.
The factory had a temperature sensor sticking out of the bottom of the drivers side, I had to cut a hole, but that was pretty simple.
I love the all black look, happy I had this all painted.
Lastly, I added some 1/8" neoprene padding behind the panels on the steps to cut down on rattling when we reinstalled, very nice.

Well finished detailing. Clay bar the entire RV, two coats of wax and coated the windows. I waxed the cab roof and the fan covers etc.

looks great! I got a quote for prep and ceramic coating for the entire coach for $5K. Then another $700 annually for maintenance. How long did it take you to complete clay bar/waxes?
