2018 Isata 5 DVD Issue

In my 2018 Isata 5 36DS, the Samsung HT-J4500 Blu-Ray DVD player died (heat problem, cuts out 5.1 surround speakers). Has anyone replaced this player? Samsung doesn’t manufacture DVD players any more. Seems to be unique because it has 6 jacks in rear for the 6 overhead speakers and subwoofer.

I did a little googling, seems there are a few replacements, maybe not Samsung, but a few choices.

Thanks halla, I’ll check it out. I have looked at many “replacement” models, but none have had the six jacks in the back for my speakers. Thanks for your response! ��

Just looked at the Panasonic player on your Best Buy link. I could make this work by splicing in RCA jacks to plug into this player. Thanks again for the great suggestion!

We are currently in South Dakota heading to the Western Rally. Once I get home I can forward to you the make/model of the DVD player we pulled from our 2018 DX3. If you want it, its yours! We just need to ship it to you and that shouldn't be a problem.

Is it dead or does it just shut off from heat? Is it a built in unit?

If still working put vent in or a computer fan on a switch. You can also get a 12v thermostat to control the fan.

Good to know there are options as it’s e the same DVD player in my I5.
