Question 2018 Isata S3 Theater Seats NO SEAT BELTS

Hi All. Deano here. New on Forum. We just purchased 2018 Dyno S3. Has theater seats. We will have our grandchildren with us on some trips and we would like them to be strapped in with seatbelt but our Tseats don’t have them. Is there an upgrade we can do? A web site we can go to? Possible swap? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

It is very possible that the original floor plan came with a sofa or dinette and that the original owners swapped out a sofa for recliners. In doing so, they may have removed the seatbelts as they were in the way and they did not use them. You might be able to get someone to add them....but some will not touch them due to liability.

Look on the left and right sides of the recliners between the walls and look for some 3/8” threaded bolts coming up through the floor. If the bolts have been removed, you should see the holes.

The anchors for the seat belts went on these bolts and where held down by large fender washers and nuts. I imagine the previous owner removed the belts because they were not lined up correctly for the theater seats.

Seat Belts

Hi. I will check all this out. I have read some posts and some owners said they where surprised that their recliners didn’t seem to come with them. I guess I can also check with Forestriver. I’ve seen where a rep replied with 2021 order lists but that doesn’t help me. If someone sees something I would appreciate a hit.
Thank You

Hello all again. I checked around the back of seats and there is no sign of other holes or bolts from previous seats or bench seats. In fact the seats installed seem to be held in with a minimum amount of screws and doesn’t seem to be anchored well at all. Also no sign of any seatbelt mounts at all which is very surprising to me that Forestriver wouldn’t have them at least installed at some point if more than 2 people ride in the RV. Seems very unsafe. I’m kinda upset that that could be the case. Is the a Forestriver rep that could possibly help me with this.? Pictures attached.

I just recently replaced my U-Shaped Dinette with a 3 place recliner couch.
I did secure the new couch very firmly to the floor and used the original seat belt anchor locations and just messed around with the different available seat belt to get the nearest size. If your seats are not well secured you might consider just removing while you install the seat belt anchors. These don't just screw into the floor, rather have a pretty substantial stud with a large plate that comes up through the floor. You'll have to make sure that these do not interfere with the slide rollers. Once completed, you can rescrew the chairs to the floor with a fair amount of reasonable sized lag screws. Not too long and again, considering the slide rollers. Dean

It looks like it was built in 2017 and the original owners were just a couple that needed it for two.

If you'd like, I can get you a print of the slide floor and where the seatbelts would have gone, but for liability reasons, that is about as far as I can go.

Thank You for checking. Is there a way that I could purchase seats with belts and have FR install them? I wouldn’t even know where to start to get the belts and the gear that goes with to do this and feel comfortable.

I can get part numbers and a print, but we are not currently doing service work, only warranty work at this time.

The belts install through the floor, not the seats. I will also have to double check....there are certain items that we cannot sell direct to consumer.

My apologies for the situation.

Thank You for checking. It’s nice to know there is a FR representative out there giving a hoot . Anything will help. Maybe I can get my local camping world or equivalent to look at and with part numbers and diagram can come up with something. Also if anybody out there is converting to a bench and have seats they want to let go hit me up!

Here are the prints for location, and hardware.

You would also need (2) SEAT BELT, LAP 100" BLACK (V-7939350A)
