2018 XL Propane, Tank Capacities, and Dry Camping

The Propane install works well on this unit, fridge on LP and LP Range work perfectly...outdoor Propane Grill works very well also, just need a temporary mount to hang it on like the smaller RV's have....

The Propane allows me to dry camp easily in the XL...and also the Fridge cools with Propane on long road trips...

Tank capacity of 75 gallons black and grey would be a great addition as well as 125 to 150 net gallons fresh water...

Propane Tank could be larger as well, at least 30 gallon minimally...

This would give Dynamax and one up the ladder comparable to Renegade...

Glad to hear it. We'll add the suggestions to our product meetings.

I use a Coleman aluminum table to set my low pressure grill on for cooking. I thought about the mount for the RV, but decided not to risk a flair up and damage the paint. I have a grill and firepit attached to my low pressure outlet.
20 gal propane tank last us a couple of weeks, but we never use propane heat, just the heat pump.

Agree on Ho Hum Campground. Stayed there a few days back in April on the way over to Pensacola. Great spot, especially if you can get a site on the water!

I just have a lowly TT, but it had an outside Mount for grille on back bumper. Wound up taking it off and buying a Coleman road trip grille. Every time we wanted to use the mounted grille we had to clean the road grit off of it even though it came with a cover. Wound up being more trouble than it was worth. There is also the fire issue in case of a flare-up. Just my two cents worth.

Yes sir, used one hanging off the side of my 5th Wheel for 15 yrs and never an issue even under the low awning cover right beside the RV Entrance Door steps...easy in...easy out for grilling...pack it all up in one bag, stick it in the over head storage for next time...work like a charm...these days common sense is not so common...

Komfort Karry-All Toy Haulers had EVERYONE beat on storage...awesome interior storage bays overhead....

Just want to add a +1 to the dry camping philosophy of use. We do about a 70-30 mix of camping at national forest / BLM spots with no hookups compared to RV parks with hookups. With how popular RVing is getting, I would imagine that more people will be going dry camping out of necessity. Where we live in Colorado, most RV parks and "good" state parks are booked 6-9 months in advance. The tank capacity of the Renegade is tempting, but that's offset by the overall length. (I'm still rooting for that short M2 option )

Yes, Dynamax has to add Dry Camping into their philosophy, there are MANY of us that Dry Camp and also Dry Camping or Boon Docking as it is called allows soooo many more camping options for ALL of us...

Another issue is the amount of water the Toilet uses to flush, it fills the black tank really fast...a foot flush toilet is, yes, a bit antiquated or lower end if you will, BUT much better on saving water instead of the Electronic Flush System...

There are also some great foot flush ceramic toilets available these days...

The shut off on the shower head works great...thanks for doing that Brian....BIG water saver....

Mine has the electronic flush and I can adjust the water it uses to flush to as much or little as I want. I dry camp a lot and have no issue with it. I do limit my use of the bathroom sink when boon docking for long periods as it flows into the black tank as well. Just be carful to use enough water when going #2.

Yes sir, mine has an issue with the electronic flush, it s hit or miss and you cannot adjust water...factory supposedly was going to repair it but decided it was sufficient and you have to "roll" your finger around on the button to get it to flush...

Mine works great, maybe you need a new switch. Have you talked to Tecma about it?

No sir, factory was suppose to address the issue and repair...they got it to work 9 out of 10 times as per their Manager and stated t was fit for use...the problem is to set the level when you try to press both and hold, the short flush doesn't operate properly to allow you to do this...
