2020.5 Isata 3 front seats don't recline properly
We did our PDI today(not to many issues) and I know I read somewhere in this forum or the facebook group about this issue. I have been searching for this topic for over an hour, so I thought I would post my question. Is there a fix or software update for this. the issue is the RV still thinks it is a cargo van. when you recline either front seat, the seat bottom will moved forward as if the seat back is trying the miss the back wall that's not there anymore. this is a thing Mercedes Benz likes to do with there SL550s and SLK350s so the seat motors don't get messed up.
By the time my wife gets her seat reclined on the passenger side, her knees will be touching the dash...lol

Merecedes worked out a programming fix back in July with a different manufacturer and will update your software ...... Don't know why Dynamax units are not updated since they where late to start production with the new chassis ....
Delivered August 30th, my passenger seat reclines fully without moving forward and my driver was left as originally programmed so not to interfere with the slide-out ...

Correct. That is Mercedes issue. We ordered one of their computers so that we can do it ourselves, but not sure when that will happen. We don't order them with the rear wall...so not sure why they came in that way. But I'm not sure we have gotten two of the same chassis in with the same spec...they have been a nightmare for organization

Brian......why would there be any spec difference on the Mercedes chassis regardless of what Dynamax is going to do with it?
Aren’t all the Isata 3 floorplans the same length and width dimensions? Whether the floor plan does or does NOT have slides, isn’t it the same MB chassis? Hydraulic jacks....doesn’t Dynamax install those?

Brian, so I should be able to take my 2020.5 to a Mercedes dealer and they will reprogram the seats?

Orangeman, did you take your unit to a dealer to reprogram?

No mine was delivered with it done, but I know others with the '19 3500 chassis that where delivered before the re-programming was figured out that had it done at a MB dealer.
Trying to find the actual MB service bulletin number, if someone has it I will post the info.

Thank you! This is very helpful, as even our own Mercedes rep has not given this to us.
We ordered a Xentry machine a while back....after they lost all our info the first time, we are stiiiiiilllll waiting on the 2nd order.

Okay my seats are fixed!!! A very good friend of mine is a tech at a Mercedes-Benz dealership ( we use to work at that dealership together). When he ran my vin this TSB didn't come up. Just took my isata 3 to the dealership and now my seats work perfect now!

The dealer I went to was familiar with the seat issue. Forgot to ask him, but I am assuming this is covered under the warranty?
