Thanks, corrected my post. brain lapse

Yes, the weather could turn early but is unusual in Sept.
Also, harvest of wheat and barley is usually done by this time. Corn is in full swing till Nov. Possible time restraints for some. August it is just too hot! October-November can get really iffy regarding weather.

If there might be a chance of early snow, would it make sense to move it up to closer to the middle of the month? Maybe the date you proposed was only timeframe available?
The resort's winter rate goes into effect Sept 15. For me I am committed till Sept 19. We may be able to move earlier. The dates above are the ones I discussed with the resort due to leisure travel time to get there.

Significant snow usually is not around till late Oct/Nov. The location is east of the Rockies. Friends have stayed there in mid October and have had very pleasant weather. Light jacket around the campfire.

We are on board for Sept 25-27 in Spearfish, SD. I would start a signup list and see how many are interested. Beautiful area of the country that many don’t see.
It’s about 1400 miles for us to come up from S. Texas.

Western Gathering

We would be interested in participating in a west coast gathering. I don't have any suggestions for a site as we just got the trailer last October and have not been out a lot yet.

We live 10 minutes from the park in Coeur d Alene. Great spot lots to do. Nice scenic drive around lake.
Not sure how to block out a lot of sites. Generally very friendly campground.

Western gathering

I live just north of CDA. Blackwell Island is a high end RV park that is usually filled to capacity every summer and don't forget, we host Ironman every June. The 4th of July fireworks are a huge deal here and thousands come from Spokane to see them but the good thing is that Blackwell Island is across the Spokane River from city park. We call this God's country for a reason. We have been discovered by all the tourists magazine and we have experienced a massive population growth, mainly from a big state to the southwest. Beautiful country and nice native citizens. The transplants, not so nice. Come visit. You will not be disappointed.

Luxury Resort on Oregon Coast

But it is $170/night!
https://www.pacificshoresmotorcoachresort.com/

I haven't been there yet but am familiar with Newport. The have a large aquarium, lots of coffee places and restaurants nearby. Maybe most importantly, it is home to the RogueRiver Brewery!.

We stayed at Elkhorn in Spearfish for a couple nights when we went to Sturgis. Great CG and beautiful area. It will be nice that time of year with the Autumn colors, virtually no chance of snow. Great location for scenic rides/drives by MC or toad. We would sign up for this location and time frame.

That's about 21hrs from us (by car, no traffic lol) so with us attending the east coast rally, plus other trips that's just too much wasted vacation time just to get there. Will follow to see about other trips in the future

Was able to move it up to Sept 18,19, 20
Campground is largely booked prior to Labor Day.

1. See attached brochure, call to make your own reservation
2. The forum will be the only place I post information regarding the event (I don't do facebook or twitter).
3. Please post on this thread if you are intending to attend and include the campsite you are in.

Disclaimer:
This is not a Dynamax rally or Forest River sponsored event. It is a gathering of interested Dynamax Owners only. Come enjoy yourself in the land where deer and antelope play and meet other owners.

2020 Western Dynamax Owners Gathering.pdf

Some notes:
cancellation policy: 24 hours before scheduled arrival $10.00 less than 24 hours first night $45.00

Pet policy: no breed restrictions. Number is not an issue. It is up to owner to cleanup after their furkids.

Unfortunately the pool will be closed.

I am registered in site 275
Hope to see you there!

Moving up a week really helps our schedule. I will get a site booked later today when I get back to the house.

I made reservations today. Were in site 268. We'll be bringing the motorcycle (street bike) too if anyone else wants to do some riding. Easy access from Spearfish to Mt. Rushmore (about 1 hour drive), Historic Deadwood (gambling) and Buffalo State Park. Were arriving afternoon of the 17th and departing at check out on the 20th.

Look forward to seeing everyone!

We are in space 279. We booked three nights leaving on Monday morning to avoid weekend traffic. Off to a good start for the gathering with 3 bookings the first day.

I have made this a sticky, but do need clarification. This gathering is for Dynamax owners only? If so, the title thread may need editing to reflect such, as to not create confusion as many members nay not see what subforum this is in, especially when using the mobile apps

Hello Ken,

thinking about going to the rally. Is there a cut off date?

I can not find on the campgrounds website, anything about their

campground policy? cancellations etc. Do you have that information?
